Why Brainhack Montreal 2023?

Join us at the Montreal edition of Brainhack Global, a three-day event set to take place on December 8 & 11-12, 2023 at Concordia University - John Molson Building (MB) - 9th Floor! The Brainhack Montreal 2023 is part of the Brainhack Global initiative involving decentralized events that bring together researchers from various subfields and career stages within the neuroscience community. Our primary objective is to promote open science practices and facilitate the exchange of knowledge in the realm of neuroscience.

We have thoughtfully curated this event to cultivate a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere. There will be educational tutorials, hands-on hacking projects, and social gatherings, all meticulously tailored to meet the specific requirements and interests of the Montreal neuroscience community. We eagerly anticipate your active participation!

During the open hacking time, every participant has the opportunity to propose a project as part of the Brainhack Montreal 2023. These projects can either be endeavors attendees have previously worked on and seek contributions, opinions, or assistance with, or entirely new projects they aspire to undertake within the hackathon group. This inclusive approach encourages innovation and collective problem-solving within the Brainhack community. Get involved and submit your project or check out all proposed projects.

Why Brainhack?

Open hacking sessions for attendees to work together on projects of their own design. Attendees are encouraged but not required to bring their own projects into the hackathon to work collaboratively with others. Project inspirations could stem from other projects proposed by attendees, ongoing work you're involved in, or new research areas that you've been waiting to have an opportunity to jump on!

Unconference is the perfect opportunity to showcase bits of your latest research, spark interest in a new initiative/project, or make an announcement of interest to the Brainhack community.

TrainTrack to help you get up to speed with various programming languages, current practices in open-source, and reproducible neuroscience analysis.

Network with the community throughout the hackathon and an evening social event!

Project Ideas
